Silver Lake Yoga

Beginners : Designed to introduce basic asana practices to new students and provide ongoing students with a gently challenging workout. Emphasis on relaxation, breath, and proper alignment. Learn simple poses that increase flexibility, strength, and stamina.


Beginners II : For students with a basic familiarity with yoga who want a more strenuous workout. Expect more difficult poses and an increasing emphasis on inversions and back bends.

Mixed Levels : A challenging class for students familiar with basic yoga vocabulary or in good physical conditions. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, but should expect advanced sun salutations, standing poses, and inversions.

Mixed Levels II : Definitely not for beginners. A rigorous introduction to advanced strength-building poses.


Flow : A fast-paced, strenuous workout in which poses flow into one another, linked together through movement. Expect to sweat.


Yoga for Alignment : Find the empowering benefits of proper alignment. By subtly perfecting the poses, this class offers an intense "work in,"  encouraging the beginner,  tuning up the advanced student, and  healing  those suffering from injuries or chronic conditions. Alignment enhances any other yoga practice. You never knew you could feel so good!


Pilates : Strengthen your core and elongate your muscles while improving your posture and balance.


Prenatal : Ease the discomfort of pregnancy while developing strength, confidence and relaxation techniques that will help you through labor. No previous yoga experience required. Recommended after your thirteenth week.

Mommy & Me : Bring your baby or child to a fun, supportive class where you can get back into your body and work out the kinks. Daddies are welcome too! Baby & Me : 6 weeks - 13 mo. Toddler & Me : Walkers up to 3 years.  Parent & Me : Toddlers & babies combined.


Meditation : Quiet your mind with Kundalini and Vippasana style Meditation. 


Community : An all-levels class for those on a budget.


Just Stretch : A soothing hour of sustained static poses to improve basic flexibility. Good for students who are particularly tight or recovering from injuries. All levels welcome.


Tai Chi : 108 Wu style, Tai Chi Chuan long form exercises, to develop and enhance one's internal energy. Along with push-hands and Chi Gong meditation, this class intends to complement Yoga and meditation practices. 


Yoga of Joy : From master Yuan Miao, Yoga of Joy integrates esoteric yogic practices from Tibetan Vajrayana and primordial yoga into a 9-step form combining postures, breathwork, mudra, mantra & visualization.


Kids’ Yoga : Ages 4 - 8 years old. An inventive, invigorating and relaxing class for kids' who want to be introduced to or continue their exploration in the world of Yoga. This class meets in 6 week blocks. $60/6 weeks or $13/class.


Evening Flow : A balanced blend of vigorous vinyasa and intense, blissful stretch. We’ll dim the lights, go inward, sweat, breathe, and unwind... you’ll float out of class, melt into bed, and wake up revitalized and ready for the rest of your week!

Kundalini Flow : A restorative and invigorating Kundalini Flow for ALL Levels. This class is a combination of Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and Hatha Yoga. This is a great class for renewing, restoring, relaxing and letting go.
 
 Forrest Yoga : renowned as an intensely physical and internally focused practice that emphasizes how to carry a transformative experience off the mat and into daily life. The practice challenges students to access their whole being and to use Forrest Yoga as a path to finding and then cleansing the emotional and mental blocks that dictate and limit their lives. Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly.
